Even when Little Dude is sick, he is still a great baby. We had to go back to the doctor yesterday because of how bad Monday night was. It ended up that an ear infection formed from the time we were at the doctor on Monday and when we went back on Tuesday morning. Thankfully we have meds for that and he seems to be feeling much better!
Here is a short video of him making one of his favorite noises. He was watching himself on the computer while he did it. You can see how amused he is with himself. Such a silly little guy.
Maddax had the exact same symptoms, the week before his 1st birthday. It was so frustrating because I took him in to the doctor, knowing it just seemed like cold symptoms, but his high fever made me think he had an ear infection or some other infection setting in. The doctor said, just give ibuprofen/humidifier/nasal saline & wait it out. Well, we wound up having to cancel his birthday party because he still had a high fever several days later after his appt. The following Monday was his 12 month regular check-up & sure enough, same thing as your little man, it had turned into an ear infection. I just kept thinking, if they had just given him antibiotics from the beginning, he could have been on the road to feeling better. What are your thoughts on your pediatrician & how they handled your situation? I was really upset, mainly because I took him in early enough & thought he might be better by his birthday party. Well, that pediatrician just left the practice, so my decision to switch was made easier, as it happened on its own! I hope you like your pediatrician...we are going to be on our 3rd one!
